Precious Metal Recycling
Precious metal waste, such as ; gold and silver bars, silverware, chains, scrap jewellery, and crucibles, is firstly tested by the staff in Core Metals using a series of complex technical testing processes for their precious metal content. The material is melted down and processed into fine gold, silver, platinum or palladium through a chemical process. The fine metal obtained is then read for final analysis and payment.
Sweepings
Workshop waste in general is called sweepings, this material usually consists of carpet, polishing mops, lino, crucibles, emery papers, solder pastes, rags, saw blades, ashes, and solutions. This material is sent to the refinery, taking 6-8 weeks for processing, going through multiple technical processes to extract the fine metals.
Testing
Core Metals uses an array of specialised testing equipment & machinery. Each piece of equipment plays a vital role in eliminating any possibilities of fake or counterfeit material, along with verifying the purity or quality of the tested material.
